  • Elly's Gratitude Group (EGG)
    A volunteer and peer led discussion group for people with CFS, FMS and OI, focusing on the healing power of gratitude to transform hearts, health, and life with debilitating conditions. We practice appreciation to accelerate healing. Monthly meetings by US national teleconferences. Callers only pay for their own long distance charges, use free minutes, or a phone card. Occasional in person locations include Northern VA and suburban DC restaurants and libraries.   • Northern Virginia Interstitial Cystitis Support Group
    A group for anyone with interstitial cystitis (IC), a condition involving persistent discomfort in the bladder and the surrounding pelvic region.

  • Northern Virginia Well Spouse Support Group
    A group sponsored by the Well Spouse Foundation,     a national organization supporting spouses caring for a chronically ill or disabled spouse. Meets the third Monday of each month from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Kings Park Library, 9000 Burke Lake Road, Burke VA 22015.     Meetings typically are 11 am to 1 pm in Room A-5 of the Martin Luther King Memorial Library, located close to all Metro lines, in Washington, DC.  It is a one-block walk from either Gallery Place/Chinatown or Metro Center.  When  walk in at street level, go to elevators and down to Level A. When exit the elevator, look for a sign for Exhibition Hall.  Walk through the Hall and out the other door.  From there you will see a sign for room A-5.  Library phone and address: 202-727-0321. MLK Library, 901 G Street NW, Washington DC 20001.
     
    The MLK Library has a free parking garage.  Park in a non-reserved spot.  To enter the library from the parking garage, go through the area for security screening.  Please tell the attendant that you are there for an NVA meeting.  Then, take the elevator to Level A.  When you exit the elevator, you will see a sign for an Exhibition Hall.  Walk through it and out the other door.  From there you will see a sign for room A-5.  Please note that if parking in the garage, you will be fined if you leave the building (without car?).
